Sprinkler Start-Up Service Please make sure someone is home during this service. Be sure that you know which valve in the basement you need to turn on and that the drain cap is secure prior to our arrival. The tech will text you approximately 30 minutes prior to arrival. When the tech arrives, please open the garage door so he can access the timer, then head for your basement valve. The tech will call you (perhaps from a blocked number) and adjust the backflow. He will then ask that you turn on your basement valve that leads to the sprinkler system. If you turn the valve on prior to the tech properly adjusting the outside valves, water will shoot out of the backflow, but this will not cause any damage. Simply turn the valve back off and wait for our technician. The tech will then go through your system, inspecting for damage, adjusting heads if they can be adjusted, and setting your timer. If you do not have a wifi timer, your settings should be adjusted throughout the season. Please let the tech know if you are interested in a wifi timer to save water and automatically adjust as the seasons change. Not all leaks present themselves at the time of service. Be proactive. Be sure to monitor your basement valve to make sure it is not dripping, and look for weeping heads or swampy areas in your yard. Aeration Service We do not aerate yards if they have multiple stairs and/ or steep inclines (Let the office know when scheduling, and we can try to accommodate you). Sprinkler heads along the perimeter do not need to be marked for aeration. Heads along the interior need to be marked with flags, knives, forks, screwdrivers, etc. Please make sure your yard is accessible and clean of pet waste and derbies. ALL DOG WASTE MUST BE PICKED UP, or you will be charged a $45 rescheduling fee.
